I have grabbed all of France, half of Germany and a good chunk of Italy from them and I've had to fight maybe 2-3 of their stacks the rest were just city garrisons. Me playing as Cordoba (legendary difficulty), Franks are complete pushovers. Time and again, in AOC, I have had the AI declare war on me while their armies are on the other side of the map, leaving me an "open door" into their lands. The main issue with the AI is that it's even more terrible with strategic map maneuvers than Attila and Rome 2. From there on, it's a total steam-roll with whatever faction you pick. In AOC, there is maybe some challenge in the first few turns. I've been playing AOC for a few weeks and I have to say, this is probably the easiest of all total war games since the release of Rome 2 (on very hard and legendary difficulty). 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.847 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
